Following the previous engagement, Finnish forces have secured the village of Tolvajärvi. Soviet units withdrew across the lake, regrouping beyond immediate contact.

Reconnaissance now confirms renewed Soviet activity.

USSR forces have reorganized on the eastern side of the lake and are launching a coordinated counterattack. Their advance is moving along the road north of the village, using the terrain and treeline for cover. The attack is not directed straight into the settlement itself, but instead follows the road network in an attempt to pressure Finnish positions from the northern approaches.

Finnish units are ordered to hold their ground, secure the road access north of Tolvajärvi, and prevent Soviet forces from isolating the village. Defensive positions should be established along likely avenues of approach, with particular attention to the road corridor and surrounding woodland.

Soviet forces are expected to advance in strength, supported by armor and coordinated infantry movement along the road axis. Finnish defenders should prepare for maneuver warfare in open snow-covered terrain, engagements along forest edges, and possible flanking attempts north of the village.

The situation remains fluid. Control of the northern road will determine whether Tolvajärvi remains secure or once again becomes contested ground.
