The Story
Marine Special Operations (MARSOC) units have been covertly training and supporting Altis guerrillas in their fight against their Russian occupiers. Late one night, an embedded MARSOC liaison operating with one of these teams radios in that their helicopter was forced down due to a sudden change in weather, leaving the team banged up and stranded on the southern peninsula of Altis. Nearby MARSOC units scramble to organize themselves into a search-and-rescue element while the liaison, guerrillas, and stranded pilots spread out and begin to conduct escape and evasion techniques. Two Russian motorized platoons head to the neck of the peninsula – the first acts as a blocking force, while the second prepares to conduct a search for what has been reported by locals as a helo crash.
As the mission begins, the Russians move into the area with their motorized assets while MARSOC flies in with Littlebirds, ground teams, and a command-and-control Ghosthawk. There’s less than an hour’s worth of stormy darkness left, and time is of the essence.
The goals for the different teams are as follows:

MARSOC
Locate and extract the MARSOC liaison for the guerrilla team.
Locate and destroy the crashed helo, which is painted in AAF colors and would give the Russians hard evidence of US involvement in the area.
Recover as many guerrilla members as possible.
Avoid contact with the searching Russian forces.

Guerrillas & Liaison
Escape and evade the Russian forces, buying time for the MARSOC searches to find and extract them.

Russians
Search the peninsula for any signs of the crash site or survivors of it.
Secure the crash site if found, comb it for intelligence and propaganda assets.
Capture any survivors found, transporting them to temporary holding areas until sunrise, at which point they can be moved north past the cordon platoon.
