The town of Tolvajarvi has fallen under Soviet control. Over the last days, the occupiers have dug in around key buildings, road junctions, and the surrounding treeline, turning the settlement into a defensive knot that threatens movement and supply along the region. Finnish forces are ordered to strike fast and hard, break the Soviet hold on the town, and restore control of the area. The Soviets are expected to resist in strength and will fight to keep their foothold.
