Situation
Following a turbulent few years of internal political struggles the EU plunges into chaos in 2022. Soon it´s again each country on it´s own. The Economy is terrible throughout the EU and Nordic countries, and realizing their vulnerability the Finnish-Swedish bilateral defense agreements are further deepened. Little do they know that soon they need to depend on each other more than ever.

While the EU struggles internally Russia is growing stronger. Making fruitful pacts and trade deals with China, South-America and the middle-east. Patriotism is an all-time high and the new leadership dreams of the old Soviet glory days. After a long information war destabilizing the Nordic internal political landscape the opportunity to gain complete domination of the Baltic sea is seen. An all out assault on the Finnish harbor Kotka and key positions on Gotland and Åland is launched.

Fortunately some of the leadership has been able to take actions against the escalating situation. A quickly assembled Finnish-Swedish battle group has been deployed to the Hamina area. The Russian attack overwhelms border defenses and punches through to the Ala-Pihlaja area. The battle groups responds, digs in and ready themselves to put a stop to the enemy’s advance.

Enemy
Enemy infantry has level 4 body armor according to our intel.
The APCs are most probably BTR-70 or 80s. We haven't heard any reports about 80As or 82s from the border guard.
All variants from T72s to T90s have reportedly crossed the border

Mission
Deploy between Harju and Ala-pihlaja. Scout for the enemy main attack force and stop the enemy from reaching the town of Harju. Utilize the available terrain and move swiftly. Beware of enemy armoured pushes.

Enemy expected activity
An reinforced russian motorized battalion has reached the easter area of Ala-Pihalaja. The battalion is supported by its organic light mortar battery and a unknown amount of light and heavy armour. The Enemy is expected to try to make the defenders commit to the Kuotanvuori area and then flank through the southern plains between Hailila and Ala-Pihlaja area utilizing the speed and firepower of their motorized infantry and supporting armour.
