In the grim and festering darkness of the 41st millennium, a plague-ridden shadow has descended upon the agri-world of Agrophia IX. This once-bountiful world was a vital supplier of sustenance for the Imperium, its rolling fields and towering silos feeding countless souls across the subsector. But now, it stands at the brink of obliteration, consumed by the pestilential forces of Nurgle, the Chaos God of Decay.
Agrophia IX's nightmare began when a corrupted astropathic message wormed its way through the Imperium's tangled web of communication. The message contained vile incantations and unholy prayers to Nurgle, and it quickly spread like wildfire among the planet's populace. The inhabitants turned to the worship of the Plague God, and their once-thriving agri-world became a breeding ground for disease and despair.
The contagion attracted the attention of the Death Guard, a Chaos Space Marine Legion utterly devoted to Nurgle. Led by the monstrous Plague Marine warlord, Morbech the Bloated, Tallyman of Nurgle, the Death Guard descended upon Agrophia IX. With their daemonic allies and twisted war machines, they fortified key sites and converted them into cursed shrines to Nurgle.
News of the world's fall reached the ears of the Imperium, and a swift response was mounted. The White Scars, a loyalist Adeptus Astartes Chapter known for their lightning-fast strikes, were dispatched to Agrophia IX. They were determined to reclaim the world from Nurgle's clutches and cleanse it of corruption.
The White Scars were joined by renowned Cadian Shock Troopers of the Astra Militarum. Armed with lasguns and tanks, they would provide the backbone of the ground assault.
The battle for Agrophia IX is a desperate struggle between life and death, order and chaos. The defenders, bolstered by the vile blessings of Nurgle, are determined to spread their contagion across the stars. The attackers, fueled by loyalty to the Emperor, stand ready to purge the world of this heresy.
