The northwest sector of Anizay has become a flashpoint between US forces and local resistance elements. The Middle East Insurgents (MEI) have begun a coordinated offensive aimed at breaking US control over key population centers and forward positions in the area.

The operation will unfold in phases.

The first objective is the liberation of Sufian, a small settlement currently held by US infantry. MEI forces will attempt to overwhelm defensive positions and force a withdrawal.

Once Sufian is secured, MEI units will shift momentum toward Village Siltou, launching a direct assault to disrupt US defensive lines and prevent reinforcements from stabilizing the area.

The final phase of the operation focuses on FOB Obeh, a lightly fortified US forward operating base serving as the main logistics and command hub for the sector. Capturing the FOB would effectively collapse US defensive capability in northwest Anizay and secure MEI control over the oasis region.

US forces are tasked with holding each objective in depth, conducting delaying actions, and preventing MEI from completing the offensive.

The outcome of the battle will determine control of the northwest Anizay oasis.
