After the collapse of global stockmarkets, an extremist right party came into power in the Aegean Republic.

Since then, all opposition has been suppressed with extreme violent methods. Several officials who were suspected to be loyal to the old government have been executed and many people have simply disappeared.

After these events the United Nations have decided to intervene. Under the UN flag NATO forces have landed on the island to secure and demilitarize the island and to remove the regime from power so that the nation can be rebuilt again.
